My name is Oluwatoyin Oyegoke Abiodun. I started attending Thursday showers when I joined The Fountain of Life Church in 2005 and it has been a blessing to my life in all ramifications.

The first time I attended showers, God spoke to me to be coming early to church to arrange the chairs and I’ve not regretted doing that. At that time, I was jobless, homeless and hopeless but after I yielded to God’s instruction, God miraculously provided #30,000 for me and asked me to start a business and from that business, I have rented my own apartment and even bought two cars.

My strength is always renewed when I come for showers. Every session of the service is always a blessing to me. The Praise and worship connects me to my Maker; the communion service gives me double anointing and gives me fresh fire. The word of God from His servant is powerful. Whenever pastor ministers, I find myself in another realm.

Another important part of Showers is the promise we pick. God has done miracles in my life via picking promises. As I pick a promise, before the end of that week, that promise would manifest. For instance, last year, I had challenges in my business and so I picked a promise and God told me that if He could feed Elijah, He would feed me. That day, as I was going home, one of the women I just greet normally in the neighbourhood told me God asked her to decorate me and that’s how she changed my wardrobe with new clothes.

Also today (Jan 12), I picked a promise from 2 Kings 3:17 that I shall not see rain…but the valley shall be filled with water and just as we finish the service, someone met me and gave me a devotional book for a gift and by the time I opened it, I saw a cheque inside for me. So Thursday showers always gives me a wonderful experience and God will not allow me see anything that would stop me from coming to showers.
