What did you learn from her about keeping the home?

I learnt that Jesus is No1, my husband is No2 and my children are No3. Always be at your best for your husband and be his friend .

Was she a quiet or loud home kind of person?

I would say my mum was a mix of both. She had her moments where she would dance and joke with everyone and she will have her study moment where she wanted absolute quiet.

How were her culinary skills?

As far as I was concerned my mother was the Best cook ever. She had her own way of doing things but it always came out amazing. I also learnt to invited the Holy Spirit when am cooking to make my food extra tasty. It works.

How would you describe her as a mum?

She was firm but the best mother a child could ask for. Even when she got angry at us, we knew it was from a place of love.

How would you describe her as a wife to your father?

They were very close and inseparable. They were a team and she always honoured my dad at every opportunity she had. They truly loved each other and through submission and obedience to my dad, she found her voice and calling.

Now, with the benefit of hindsight, what was the biggest marriage lesson you learnt from her?

Always pray together, always respect one another, Always listen to what your partner is saying. After God your husband is next.

“She was firm but the best mother a child could ask for. Even when she got angry at us, we knew it was from a place of love.”
